Submersible Pumps
EBARA submersible pumps in stainless steel are for discharging clean and soiled water from drainage, waste water and effluent chambers. Located within the sump chamber, the submersible sump pump is completely submerged.
Pumps with and without Float-Switch
Pumps equipped with a float-switch will automatically turn the pump on and off, while pumps without a float-switch are either operated manually or via an external device or pump control panel.
Vertical & Horizontal Pump Discharge
Some pump models have the discharge connection for the pipe/hose at the top of the pump casing. The vertical discharge allows water to pass around the electric motor on the inside of the pump to ensure sufficient cooling during operation. This is also referred to as "jacket-cooling" and enables pumps with a vertical discharge at the top to operate partially submerged.
Pumps with a larger solids passage usually have a horizontal discharge located at the bottom of the pump casing beneath the motor. The motor is solely cooled by the surrounding medium within the sump chamber and therefore it is recommended to operate these pumps fully submerged.

It is used in sump pump chambers for applications such as general drainage as well as wastewater & sewage water handling with a solids passage of up to 10mm. With a maximum volume capacity of 260 litres per minute and a maximum pumping head of 13.1 metres, the EBARA BEST 2 MA is used in commercial and agricultural installations, where higher pumping volume is required, and in private domestic installations with prolonged pumping distances. Applications include draining wells, garages, cellars or places subject to flooding. Wastewater Treatment System & Septic Tank Pump The EBARA BEST 2 MA is used to pump treated effluent in domestic treatment sytems and septic tanks where the subsoil polishing filter area or percolation area are not located in close proximity to the final effluent chamber. The higher performance and pumping height of the pump compensates the pressure loss involved with longer pipe distances and ensures the final effluent chamber is sufficiently emptied during pumping intervals. Regular maintenance of your wastewater treatment system or septic tank & good practice ensure sufficient treatment levels in the final effluent chamber. This is also important in order to achieve a satisfactory lifespan of the submersible pump. A sump pump with internal float switch should not be used to disperse sludged-based media or discoloured water with a high dirt saturation. While the pump itself is possibly less affected by this type of pumping media, deposits on the internal float-body may over time impact functionality. In cases where a sump pump with internal float switch is nevertheless required in dirt saturated water, it is recommended to perfom regular service-checks and to provide cleaning of the internal float-body. The pump has to operate sitting on a level bottom surface. Pumps with internal float switch should not be hung into the pump chamber.
