The maximum volume capacity of the pump is 150 litres per minute or 9,000 litres per hour.   The vertical discharge (1¼“ - female threading) at the top of the pump with jacket-cooling also enables safe operation even when the pump is only partially submerged (e.g. draining of flooded basements).   The EBARA OPTIMA MA is fitted with a float switch for automatic level-controlled operation within a pump chamber, sump chamber or collection tank.   Typical areas of applications include: discharge of wastewater and dirty water with solids of up to 10mm wastewater treatment systems & septic tanks; discharge of treated effluent to the percolation area draining of flooded basements and garages; optional EBARA Low Suction Kit available (additional accessory) emptying of pump and sump chambers emptying of drainage chambers and surface water collection chambers discharge of greywater chambers; from washing-machines, dishwashers, showers and washhand-basins located below the sewerage level   The submersible pump EBARA OPTIMA MA is TÜV/GS-certified (German technical inspection authority) and is equipped with a 10m cable and has replaced the previous pump model EBARA BEST ZERO MA.

While the pump itself is possibly less affected by this type of pumping media, deposits on the internal float-body may over time impact functionality and reliable pump operation.   In cases where a sump pump with internal float switch is nevertheless required in dirt saturated water, it is recommended to perfom regular service-checks and to provide cleaning of the internal float-body.   The pump has to operate sitting on a level bottom surface. Pumps with internal float switch should not be hung into the pump chamber.

Replacing the septic tank pump is therefore usually an urgent matter, as system backlog and potential overflowing with contamination to the surrounding ground area should be avoided.   Regular maintenance of your wastewater treatment system or septic tank & good practice ensure sufficient treatment levels in the final effluent chamber. The non-return flap valve prevents water within the pipe from re-entering the pump and sump chamber after the pumping cycle has ended.  This can significantly reduce the number of pump starts, especially in smaller sump chambers with less volume.The non-return flap valve should not be included, if the discharge pipe is located in an environment subject to frost or sub-zero freezing temperatures.
